The Little Rock Music Party started as the brainchild of local Little Rock philanthropist, public speaker and bicycle rider Mark Taylor. Heeding the need for a low-key evening of live music, a little dancing, audience participation and seeing friends, Mark organized some local music talent and a venue to kick-off the series. The Little Rock Music Party had it's debut show at Studio Joe, the swank new coffee-house and well-equipped recording studio in West Little Rock. By all accounts the night was one to remember with guest appearances by numerous talented musicians, some great R&B standards and a great time had by all.
